Favourite Photos Ever!

Our Christmas presents to the parents for 2009 were 2 digital photo frames - one for Dad's office and one for the house. I spent a week and a half scanning photos and then sorting them into a chronological order ... all eight hundred and ten of them!!! Anyway here are some of my favourites:

Mum and Dad when they were dating..

Mum and Dad were ahead of their time!! They did their OE with 2 kids in tow.... I was still in Mum's tummy unformed. Check out how fashionable my parents looked even though they were dirt poor. My Mum, the hot babe!!

I love this photo of me eating the leaf and how I looked like I had a normal human amount of hair unlike now ... i have 4 people's worth of hair on my head!

Viv and Jenn when they were babies.... awww I want to bite their chubby cheeks!

Funnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Mum laying down the law with 6 month old Lauren... much like the way she acted throughout our childhood. Mum was strict!

The Hii girls....

I always think of penguins when I see this...

Logan, always the poser.

With great power comes great responsibility........

I love the look of utter happiness on Logan's face... aww I love my grandpa.

Does he remind you of Beast from Beauty and the Beast or is it just me?

My parents scrub up well. You can see where I get my impeccable tastes in clothing from.

One of the Hii girls' favourite things to do on Christmas Eve?? Singing Christmas carols.. heheh

Acting wacky is another one.... we are wearing the same pjs here as you can see... and no it's not weird. It's awesome.

Resigning and going home for a few months to spend time with the parents was one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. We travelled and explored new places together. We did lots of cool things and one of them was going sea walking in Thailand!

My parents are very sporting - they take instructions well. Act angry!

Smelly Rotorua.....

Mum thinks so too................

Too many cool photos of the 2 brats so i've just chosen the latest 2.

Sounds Yum in Theory... But Not So Much in Reality

Aussies won't know what this is but all Kiwis worth their salt would. Whittaker's Peanut Slab.. the thinking man's chocolate.. in ice cream form. Sounds amazing, right? I saw it at New World, fancy smancy supermarket where different food items are sold when compared to Pak N Save and Countdown. Anyway, I saw it in the chiller section and being the ultimate consumer, I HAD TO TRY IT!!

Ooooh looks so creamy and yummy with the specks of nuts scattered throughout the rich vanilla ice cream.

But in reality? It tasted chemical. Yuck. Sucked in once again!! Supermarket 1,000,001, Me 0. *hangs head in shame*

Meanwhile Viv was hard at work making her cheesecake brownie for a work's end of year baking competition. She said everyone loved it ... allegedly.... but she didn't win. Heheh.

Brunch at Inovo

I have a backlog of entries to do so bear with me.

Had brunch at Inovo a few weeks ago. Inovo is an upmarket shop in Parnell specialising in all things to do with bathrooms. There is a cafe there and it's in the book (entertainment book) so it was buy 1 get 1 free. Score!

This bathtub was $12K down to $8K or something ridiculous like that. It had a SOLD sticker on the price tag so if you wanted to get it, you are out of luck.

Malaysian Beef Salad

Fish and Chips

If you thought to yourself that I had the salad, you don't know me at all. Full fat all the way!!

Cafe World Update

Check out my cafe's progress on Cafe World.

This was a couple of weeks ago when my cafe finally hit the max buzz points of 105. High buzz points meant that the customers are happy with the food and service. The higher the buzz points, the more popular the cafe. My cafe has a super extreme Asian theme... check out the ancient China windows and the bamboo windows, the door, the vase and the wall scroll... hehe and the name.

This is my cafe as it stands today. The buzz points have gone down unfortunately but I don't care too much anymore as I have more money than I know what to do with it. I changed the tables to a more expensive type and all the windows are now the same type. I also bought 3 bamboo pots and 2 wall shelves of Chinese alcohol. Need to buy more Asian doors.
