Food is the Ultimate Expression of Love..

... for the Hii household anyway. I'm feeling homesick and jealous of all the foods my siblings are consuming so I decided to cook the one meal that is guaranteed to bring up happy memories of numerous birthdays growing up, Chinese New Year, Christmas mornings, etc. Basically the one meal Mum always cook for special occasions - chicken soup and long-life noodles with a hard boiled egg. Sigh, it's toe-curlingly satisfying and heart-warmingly delicious. My attempt is no where near as good as Mum's but Viv ate stacks and it did conjure up happy thoughts so i guess it's a pass. Just call me Nigella.
