Final HK Post - The Peak & Madame Tussauds

Last touristy stop in Hong Kong was the Peak. There was also Madame Tussauds up there so we made plans with Jayden and Jennifer to go together.

Waiting for the tram to Central.

Being Central, the air pollution here wasn't very good.

Concrete jungle... I likey.

After a short walk from the Central MTR station, we got to the Peak Tram Station.

The quaint tram pulling into the station.

Interiors of the tram.

Viv and Jenn cosying up to Jackie Chan.

Jenn and Jayden re-enacting one of their wedding photos poses with Wei Lan, a Hong Kong teenybopper.
Jayden desperately wants to be the woman behind a successful man, in this case Bruce Lee.

No one told Viv that Brad's heart is already well and truly captured by yours truly. Poor viv.

Aaron looking on while Jayden showed off his best dance moves. I think Aaron's reputation as the best dancer in Hong Kong showbiz is safe for the time being.

I found this poster of the real Andy photographing the fake Andy quite cute.
Princess Diana looking regal and shy.

Gandhi looking peaceful... geddit?

Me teaching Einstein a thing or two. E equals MC squred. His attention tends to wander.

Reunited with my future husband, Andy Lau.... ahhh young lovebirds... bliss.
Indy looking pissed off for some reason. Monica, did you steal his whip again? Tsk tsk tsk.

Andy's heart was pumping.... with lurrrrve for me.

Jayden, step away from your future brother in law please.

Jayden showing Marilyn how to work a flapping skirt. Would you date this he-she?
Jayden hanging out with Jack Sparrow. He's the squid man according to Jenn.

This was a ghost house type setup. We walked through darkness for about 5 minutes and there was regular atmospheric lighting flashing all the time. Corpses and ghosts aka bad actors also pop up unexpectedly. Jennifer was scared stiff. It was alright but having only just sat through Saw 1 to 5, my imagination didn't really need any extra help in conjuring up gory images.

Jenn could not stomach her husband being so girly one minute and so pirate-like the next, so she hitched a ride with Leon and got out of there fast.

Viv trying to block Yao Ming. Hmmm he's quite hairy for an Asian dude.. check out his armpit hair heheh.
Viv showing off her kickboxing moves. Muhammad Ali did not look all that impressed if you ask me.

Viv finally setting free the fat person inside her that she keeps locked up.

Jayden having a go at being a sumo.

Viv getting her head immortalised in plaster by some famous artist. May I say that the resemblance is uncanny? Bravo, nameless yet famous artist.
Kylie Minogue... I don't see her appeal.... no, I'm not being sour grapes....

Beatles were there too.... before Yoko broke them up.

Michael Jackson sans crotch grabbing and kids hanging around him inappropriately.

Theresa Teng.... Mel's lookalike said one of her patients who inhaled way too much laughing gas..

Anita Mui who passed away due to cancer a few years ago. One of her albums was my very first casette purchase.

Victoria, the woman who has it all. AKA Beckham.... if only he is mute... I guess it is true that no one is perfect hehe. That was the end of the displays. Quite small but was entertaining.

Jennifer outside the mall.... yes there is a mall (albeit a small one) on top of the mountain. Hey, it is Hong Kong afterall.

We then head off to the observatory level to check out Hong Kong's daytime views. While pretty, it was very smoggy despite being a nice clear day. No picture perfect postcard photos here.

It was then time to stuff our faces again. So we opted for the quick and easy Burger King. I gotta say, BK in NZ (or Hungry Jacks in Oz) tastes way way way way better. Must be the superior ingredients. Then we took the tram back down.

Bye Hong Kong! Phew.... on with my China posts. I need a holiday from this holiday!
