Vegas: Day 4

Day 4 started with breakfast in the hotel foodcourt again. I learnt my lesson and boycotted Mackers. Instead, I went with a sausage and egg mcmuffin from Nathan's. It was meant to be sausage and egg with cheese and I refused to eat the over-processed super yellow American cheese so they had to cook a fresh egg for me. Mwahahaha. It was delicious.

Damon decided to enter another tournament over at The Venetian so we headed over there after breakkie.

I then headed off and explored the area. Phantom of The Opera was at The Venetian so I had to take some photos for Here, the crazy and sick in the head woman.

Then it was time to take millions of shots of the man-made canal.

belting out an italian tune or two...

This is meant to be a replica of St Mark's square in Venice.

You can even buy Venetian masks...

Mel kept raving about this comedy show that she saw when she was in Vegas so I went along to it by myself. Luckily I am secure in my self-love to do so. It was showing at Harrah's which was next to Venetian so it all worked out logistically.

Verdict: Mel needs to go to more comedy shows if she thought that was fantastic. Although she was such a newbie that when she was asked onstage to participate in a typical magic trick, she signed her name on the front of the card and not the inside, ie where ace/spade/club/heart is printed. Heheheh rookie mistake! Mac King actually specified that the audience member write on the right side so that was a shout out to Mel.

He also had some ongoing gag about Fig Newtons.. ie he would find them in his pocket during magic tricks etc.

Sephora flagship store was in Venetian so I went back and spent ages poking around all the makeup and creams. I wished I had more luggage space. sigh.

After that, I headed off to the biggest shopping mall in Vegas that is not attached to a casino. On the way, I walked past Ben and Jerry's!!!!!!!!!!!

Cherry Garcia. I didn't realise the smallest and cheapest ice cream was still a two scoop or I would have chosen two flavours. Doh!

Trump tower!!!! All gold and ostentatious.

The Fashion Mall.

Since I was not in the market for material goods (damn it!!!!!!), I tortured amused myself by taking photos of all the high-end department stores that I would have gone mental in.

Typical fattie american got caught as collateral damage... bahaha.

After that, I headed back home and walked past Palazzo, another expensive hotel.

They had a display in their lobby which was reminiscent of Mei's wedding somehow.

This was at another casino/hotel.

Yet another hotel/shopping centre. Very 4th of July.

Stumbled across yet another shop dedicated to the best junk food of all, CANDY.

It goes without saying there's a wall of Hello Kitty related merchandise. I can hear someone's brains imploding right about now hehe.

Who needs a Louis Vuitton Alma when you can have a Hello Kitty one?

There were also rows of weird jelly belly flavors. Rotten egg or canned dog food anyone?

This was a station where you could fill containers with those powder sherbet candy. Yick

I was DYING for veges and Mum ordered me to have chinese so I went to Panda Express, a chain of chinese food outlets.

Beijing beef, orange pork and steamed veges instead of rice as my main.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good.

Best of all? The gimmicky fortune cookie that it came with. I saved it for Damon because he needed some fortune.

Walked past Caesar Palace on my way to catch the free tram home.

I went the long way and walked for ages in Bellagio to get to the tram stop. Bellagio really is huge with empty giant hallways everywhere.

There was even a wedding chapel!!!!! like any self-respecting hotel in Vegas would have of course.

Even saw a familiar sight in one of the corridors.
